Mary Travers of Peter, Paul, and Mary died last night at the age of 72. The song “Lemon Tree” was my entire childhood musical experience. My mom would play it over and over and over again as we would carpool around town. I have an absurdly detailed knowledge of the PP&M discography. Mary Travers was who my mom wanted to be growing up and still her all-time favorite band.
